Two complete different people...friends?
Julie is one of those "popular" girls. She has tons of followers on social media, state of the art jewelry, expensive makeup, eye-catching dresses, filthy rich parents, and all the boys hawking over her. She has all that she could ever want...right? Not close. After her dad left her mom, things haven't been the same. Her mom has been getting sick, depression, lacking on the job...you get the point. Moving into a new school has been tough too...it was even harder leaving their hometown. But when odd occurrences start becoming more and more often, Julie thinks she is going crazy...is she?
Nathan is a nerdy, quiet, shy, and know-it-all person. Living with foster parents hasn't been the easiest thing either. He was an orphan from a young age. They treat him like garbage and all he's ever wanted was to have an "ok" life. He aces all his exams, and gets paid for doing other kids homework. He has drinking problems, and gambles for ridiculous things like...an old grandfather clock. And on top of all of that, he gets bullied. Beaten up a lot of times just for trying to be a good student. When he meets Julie though, his world turns around. He's noticed something's off about this school after she joined. It's as if she brought a wave of darkness with her. Bad things happen around her...but why?
That seems like the question everybody is asking these days. Eventually, the two get tangled into a mess of paranormal activity. A long lost friend? Ghosts? Rustling in the bushes? Somebody's following them? Murderers? And after all of this...will they stay friends? Or will they get torn apart? Can two different people...with different pasts...different views on life...really be...friends?

I drop my phone out of shock and it flips over, pointing it's ray of light at the ceiling, revealing a message written in red, drippy letters. John's still staring and Julie's unaware of anything.
My mouth goes dry as I read it.
